NANOCERAM™ PREMIUM GLASS
NANOCERAM™ is a next-generation transparent glass-ceramic developed by OHARA Inc., a renowned Japanese specialist in advanced optical materials. Chosen for DeFF's PREMIUM GLASS Screen Protectors, it marks a fundamental shift in how a screen protector defends your display—pairing extreme hardness with exceptional toughness.
Unlike conventional glass that relies on surface treatment alone, NANOCERAM™ is engineered with a uniform internal nano-crystalline structure. Through OHARA Inc.'s nano-crystallization technology, a microscopic crystalline framework is grown directly within the glass, giving the material strength from the inside out while preserving pristine optical clarity.
According to official data from OHARA Inc., NANOCERAM™ delivers a 20% increase in hardness and over 3 times the impact resistance in steel ball drop tests compared to high-strength chemically strengthened glass. By fully harnessing these material properties, DeFF precision-engineers each protector to achieve the ultimate level of shatter resistance—all while maintaining crystal-clear transparency and a smooth, responsive touch.

CNC Precision Cutting
With a cutting head that moves flexibly and precisely on the horizontal axis, the materials are shaped with near-zero error, this ensures perfect consistency before assembly. Right after shaping, the products go through a specialized grinding/polishing system to remove any dirt and create a smooth, high-quality surface.
CNC Edge Grinding/Polishing
The machine utilizes multiple processing heads and diamond grinding wheels to round and smooth the sharp edges of the cut glass (often creating 2.5D or 3D curved edges). This stage is crucial for enhancing aesthetics, ensuring user safety, and eliminating micro-cracks, thereby improving the overall durability of the screen protector.
Ultrasonic Cleaning
This stage utilizes a system of liquid tanks and ultrasonic waves to completely remove impurities, microscopic glass fragments, and residual chemicals adhering to the glass surface. The main purpose is to ensure the surface achieves absolute cleanliness before applying critical functional coatings (such as the anti-fingerprint layer, etc.), thereby enhancing the quality and adhesion of the final product.
