AGC Dragontrail® Pro
AGC Dragontrail® Pro is a premium chemically strengthened glass developed by AGC, a world-class Japanese manufacturer. Chosen for DeFF’s ULTRA HARD GLASS Screen Protectors, it represents the perfect fusion of material science and craftsmanship.
The Foundation: Unique Float Process Distinct from standard methods, AGC utilizes its proprietary Float Process. By pouring molten glass over liquid tin, the material naturally spreads into a perfectly flat surface. This technique delivers optical-grade flatness and clarity, laying the flawless foundation for our protectors.
The Strength: Ion-Exchange Technology To achieve its incredible durability, the glass undergoes a specialized Ion-Exchange process. Submerged in a 400°C potassium nitrate bath, smaller sodium ions on the surface are replaced by larger potassium ions. This creates a high-density Compressive Stress layer, effectively locking in strength against scratches and impacts.
The Result: Uncompromised Durability The Dragontrail® Pro evolution features a deeper stress layer optimized for modern curved edges, offering superior resistance to chipping. Crucially, DeFF utilizes the original 0.4mm thick glass panel without any thinning treatment. This preserves the material’s full structural integrity, delivering ultra-high durability beyond its class—all while maintaining a smooth, responsive touch experience.

Manufacturing Process
CNC Precision Cutting
With a cutting head that moves flexibly and precisely on the horizontal axis, the materials are shaped with near-zero error, this ensures perfect consistency before assembly. Right after shaping, the products go through a specialized grinding/polishing system to remove any dirt and create a smooth, high-quality surface.
CNC Glass cutting
The machine utilizes multiple processing heads and diamond grinding wheels to round and smooth the sharp edges of the cut glass. This stage is crucial for enhancing aesthetics, ensuring user safety, and eliminating micro-cracks, thereby improving the overall durability of the screen protector.
Ultrasonic Cleaning
This stage utilizes a system of liquid tanks and ultrasonic waves to completely remove impurities, microscopic glass fragments, and residual chemicals adhering to the glass surface. The main purpose is to ensure the surface achieves absolute cleanliness before applying critical functional coatings (such as the anti-fingerprint layer, etc.), thereby enhancing the quality and adhesion of the final product.
