If you've looked at our screen protectors and wondered why there are three different “glass” lines, this is the explainer. They're made from different materials, and each one is better at something.
In a sentence: AGC Dragontrail Pro is the clearest and most scratch-resistant, NANOCERAM survives drops the best, ordinary tempered glass is the dependable middle ground, and plastic film is the cheap fallback. Which one is “best” depends on what you're protecting against.
AGC Dragontrail Pro
Dragontrail is a chemically strengthened glass made by AGC in Japan, one of the most respected glassmakers around. It's prized for clarity and a smooth, oil-resistant feel, along with strong scratch and impact resistance. This is what goes into our ULTRA HARD GLASS line, which comes in clear, nano-matte, anti-UV/blue-light and privacy versions.
NANOCERAM nano-ceramic
Nano-ceramic is the odd one out. Instead of being rigid like glass, it flexes a little and absorbs a hit rather than cracking. That makes it our most drop- and shatter-resistant option — NANOCERAM Premium Glass is the one to reach for if you're hard on phones. The trade-off is that top-grade tempered glass can feel a touch harder against fine scratches.
Triple-strengthened tempered glass
Classic tempered glass, treated for hardness and usually rated 9H. Our SUPER TOUGH GLASS runs it through a triple-strengthening process for a harder, more shatter-resistant result in a slim 0.25mm sheet, with support for in-display fingerprint sensors. It's the reliable all-rounder, and usually the best value of the three.
Plastic film
Thin, flexible, cheap. Film won't shatter and it wraps around curved edges, but it scratches easily, feels less slick, and does little against a real impact. Fine for a curved screen or as a stopgap; not what you want long-term on a flat display.
Picking one
Go with ULTRA HARD GLASS (Dragontrail Pro) for the best mix of clarity and protection and the most finish options. Choose NANOCERAM if surviving drops is your top priority. Pick SUPER TOUGH GLASS for a slim, dependable, value option. And use film only for curved screens or a quick fix.
