DeFF Corporation (President: Toru Araki; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has released two screen protectors made for the center display of the new Mazda CX-5. The Multifunction Screen Protector for Mazda CX-5 comes in one version for the 15.6-inch display and one for the 12.9-inch display.
The film has what we call an AGAR finish: anti-glare (AG) and anti-reflection (AR) working together. The goal is simple. You should be able to read the screen in daylight, and the screen should stay free of scratches, fingerprints and smudges.
Two Screens, Two Films
The new CX-5 comes with one of two center displays, depending on the grade. The L grade gets a 15.6-inch screen. The S and G grades get a 12.9-inch screen. The two differ in size and shape.
We measured each display and shaped the film to its viewing area and outline, so it sits flush and doesn't look like an afterthought. The two versions are not interchangeable. Please check your car's grade and screen size before you order.
Why AG and AR Together
A car screen sits between the windshield and the side windows, so light hits it from all directions. The sky, trees and the inside of the cabin all end up reflected on the glass.
AG and AR deal with this in different ways. The anti-glare layer scatters incoming light, so reflections look soft and blurred. The anti-reflection layer reduces the reflection on the surface itself. Regular anti-glare film can make a screen look a little milky, so we went with a low-haze design to keep the picture clear while still keeping glare down.
A Surface That's Easy to Keep Clean
The surface has a hard coat, an anti-smudge coating and a low-friction finish. Fingerprints and skin oil don't show as much, and a quick wipe is usually enough. Your finger also glides easily when you swipe through the map or menus.
Hard-Coated Scratch Protection
Hard-coated PET film guards against everyday scratches.
Repeatedly wiping your screen with a dry cloth is a major cause of fine scratches. With our hard-coated film applied, daily wear and tear stays on the protector—keeping your original display completely untouched.
Easy to Apply, Easy to Reposition
The adhesive layer is a self-adhering silicone. Lay the film on the screen and it settles into place on its own. If it ends up slightly off, peel it back slowly and try again. It comes off cleanly, without leaving residue.
Each pack includes an application spatula, a dust-removal sticker and a cleaning cloth.

Both CX-5 versions come in the AGAR finish only. The two sizes have different shapes and are not interchangeable. Installation is not included.
The films went on sale in Japan on September 7, 2026, and are now available on DeFF's international store.
